JEANS & BOTTOM SIZING
Waist & hip measurements are taken around each point of the garment. The rise of each garment and where the waist will sit on your body depends on the cut; a high waist generally hits 11-12" above your pelvic/groin area, a mid-rise is 9-10" on average and a low rise is generally 7-8".
The inseam is measured from the bottom of the pelvic/crotch seam down the leg to the end of the opening at the bottom.
Judy Blue Sizing & Notes: Judy Blue jeans have amazing stretch while keeping their shape ensuring a comfortable, yet stylish fit. Most customers can size down one size from their normal size in other brands. For example; if you generally wear a size 9 in other jeans, we recommend a size 7 in Judy Blue.
Different jeans styles & how they fit:
- Bootcut jeans are generally fitted through the waist and thigh and flare out slightly at the ankle.
- Boyfriend jeans: Boyfriend jeans have a relaxed cut with a low waist, a baggy seat, and are generally looser fitting down to the leg opening
- Bell Bottom/ Flare jeans: Snug fit through the thigh and flare out from the knee to the leg opening.
- High-rise/Mom jeans: High-rise jeans sit at your natural waist, around your belly button.
- Mid-rise jeans: Mid-rise jeans sit evenly between your waist and your hips
- Skinny jeans are tight fitting from the thigh down to the ankle. They're usually made with stretch denim so that the wearer can get them off and on easily.
- Straight cut jeans have a straight up-and-down fit through the entire leg. Straight jeans can vary slightly from being on the loose side like boyfriend jeans or relaxed-fit jeans, or the fitted side, like slim-fit jeans. Pay attention to the description and fit notes for each product.
- Wide-leg jeans: Wide leg jeans are cut wide throughout the leg, beginning to flare around the mid-thigh and then continuing down to a wide leg opening.
